OPERATIONS LEAD JOB DESCRIPTION

      

Our client is looking for an Operations Lead that can assist with data processing and pipeline management for a large-scale mapping and image processing effort. In addition to data management, the operations lead will also be responsible for support of the day to day operations of the project and will remotely assist the field operatives as they map the specified areas.

There are two main components to this assignment:

Responsibilities:

Monitor daily production and quality

Collect and analyze data to ensure that it meets project specs

Interpret data in order to recognize trends and potential problem areas

Collaborate with cross functional groups to ensure data flows through pipeline to production

Plan and execute daily operations to ensure project goals are met

Create work packets for field operatives

Support field operatives to ensure daily production is met and assist with troubleshooting of equipment

Interact professionally with partners to coordinate operations

Interface with engineering teams to continually improve overall operations process

Please note: This role will entail 40 hours per week, however, due to the dynamic nature of the responsibilities our client may need at least one Operations Lead on call every day. 

The Ops Leads may be expected to arrange their hours to cover weekends as well as week days. Hours will tend to be early with some shifts beginning as early as 4 am on an irregular basis (some remote work from home is viable).

Qualifications:

4 year Bachelors degree, preferably in a technical field

GIS data analysis strongly desired but not required

Experience with technical software strongly desired but not required (e.g. Unix Shell Script command line manipulation, GIS, Linux, Excel, Project)

Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks

Detail oriented; must be able to plan and execute tasks with a keen attention to detail

Excellent communication skills; must be able to listen closely, record and promptly disseminate important operation details to members of the project team; communication will often be of a highly technical nature

Self motivated, efficient, and dependable

Flexible, team player; this position is very demanding, but should also be interesting and often fun

Excellent organization skills, both as applies to personal assignments as well as team

Impeccable honesty in all communications, and complete confidentiality about proprietary technology.
